Megan
Megan was born October 7,2010. So she is 2 months old today. Wow, time flies. She is such a joy and she is already sleeping through the night. She is so alert and likes to look at everything. She also has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. We are truly blessed!! She weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 20in long. She was born with a head full of dark hair. Everytime a new nurse came in to the room the first thing they would say was "oh, my look at all that hair" lol. My husband was bald as a baby, and I had alot of hair. I was so scared the first night because I just wanted to do everything right. The nurses all told me that I could send her to the nursery, but I just couldnt, finally, I gave in but only for 2 hours. I just had to have her near me. She was born on a Thursday so we got to go home on Saturday, and it was a home game at Ohio State...she was born at The Ohio State hospital which is right by the stadium. But, we were able to get out quickly.

I thank God for a beautiful baby girl and a smooth pregnancy.

Heading to the hospital tonight!
Well, the time has arrived, Thank God. We will be heading to OSU Medical Center tonight so that I can be induced. Miss Megan is a week overdue. I just pray that everything goes well and that she is healthy! I am not real nervous right now but I'm sure that when we walk into that hospital, I will be.
The only thing is that my family is not here, I wish they could be but the important thing is that my mother is recovering and she is doing amazing! I thank God for all the amazing things he has done in my life to date. I also pray that he gives my dad and my brother strength as they are the ones helping her out and making sure she is doing great.
Ephesians 3:20 - God is ABLE to do ABUNDANTLY, EXCEEDINGLY more than ALL you can ASK or IMAGINE!!!! What an amazing scripture!
I have not posted pics in the last few posts but I plan to post alot after Megan is born. Also, no one really follows my posts, but thats ok because this is mainly to look back on and have memory of how things were. I would have loved to have posted everyday of my pregnancy butI was working and always tired. Hopefully I can be better at blogging in the future. Thank you Lord for your blessings!!

Still no baby.
Well Miss Megan still has not made an appearance. I am hoping she will be here this weekend. I have been feeling alot of pressure and some pain. But, not enough to get us to go to the hospital. I just can't wait to meet her.
I am planning to go to a movie tonight, maybe she will decide to come then, doesn't that always happen, once you have something planned something tends to happen. I wouldnt mind though.
In other news, my mother went to see her surgeon today and he said she is doing amazing!! Thank you Lord!!! Her heartbeat/rate is regular and she will not need a "shock". So, hopefully my family will be here for Christmas, it is a special Christmas as it will be Megans first, and she will also get to spend it with her cousin Asher. It will be his second Christmas. I just thank God for all his blessings and all that he is doing in our lives. I give him all the praise.

Due Date.
Well today is my due date and still no baby, but, the day is not over yet so who knows what can happen. I had an appointment yesterday and the doctor said she is not ready. I was sure they would send me to the hospital. Megan weighs 8lbs. 4oz. and her heartrate is at 158. If I don't have her by October 6th, I will be headed to the hospital that night to be induced. I'm praying that we meet her before then.
I have been having some pain, like cramps and tightening...since this is my first I really have NO IDEA what to look for or what to do. I mean if I feel something stronger than what I have been feeling obviously I will call the dr. Hmm, we'll see.
I just want to meet this sweet girl, I wonder what or who she will look like. I can't wait.

Monday, rainy Monday...
Today it is raining, and cold. Well, not real cold but much cooler than it has been. I love this time of year though, it's beautiful, and it's football season!
Our Buckeyes did great on Saturday, but this weekend they play Illionis, hopefully they can get a win. I think they can do it.
Tomorrow I will be 40 weeks pregnant, we have an appointment and hopefully I will be sent to the hospital to be induced, we will see. We are so excited to meet our baby girl, I have a feeling she will look like her daddy. The thing is that my family won't be here for the delivery, my mother had open heart surgery a few weeks ago and she is recovering, But I thank God that she is doing well. I would rather her get better and stronger anyway so that she can come and play with Megan.
I thank God for all he has done and is continuing to do in out lives, I know that he is with us.

Pregnancy...
Wow, I have not posted in a while!! I was hoping to blog throughout my pregnancy but I was always so busy working and trying to get stuff ready for the arrival of our baby girl. We have decided to name her Megan Elizabeth. Everything has gone great so far, I am 39 weeks and her "due date" is September 29th, my dr. wanted to induce early, but Miss Megan was just not ready....so...I have an appointment this coming Tuesday and hopefully..(fingers crossed) he will send me to the hospital. We are so excited to meet little Megan.
Her room is ready for her. Here are some pictures. Her dad did the paintings, I think he did a great job. I could not have done that.

In other news, the Buckeyes have been doing an amazing job! We love our Bucks, this weekend they play E. Michigan, so we are hoping for another win....GO BUCKEYES!!

Baby Johnston
Tuesday was a big day for our family! I am now 18 weeks pregnant, we had our ultrasound/sonogram. We saw the baby's spine and feet and arms. We also heard the strong heartbeat....music to our ears! We also founf out the gender of the baby.
This is the first grandchild on my side and the second on my husbands side. So the big question is: What are we having??
A GIRL !!!!!
As I sat there looking at this baby on the monitor I thought of everything I went through this past summer and thanked God so much for all he has done. I have always wanted to have a little girl and when I got really sick this past summer I thought that I would never be able to conceive. But God has different plans doesnt he? He truly gives us the desires of our heart. God knew mine and he has blessed me and my husband with a little girl, my prayer is that she is healthy, happy, and that the delivery goes smoothly.

12 Week Appointment.
We had our 12 week appt. on Tuesday March 15th. We were able to hear the heartbeat, it is very strong at 176 bpm. It was an amazing sound! We were also able to see the baby on the monitor, he/she was moving his/her little arms and legs, it was so cute.
As I was watching the baby on the monitor, I couldnt help but think about this past summer, and everything that my family and I went through. I thanked God for blessing us with this amazing gift. My family and myself, the doctors and the nurses truly witnessed a miracle, when they thought I would not be coming home, God knew that I would be and that there would be life in me, how amazing is that??
We serve a mighty God, and he does and wants to give us all the desires of our heart. I am living proof of that.
I am so excited because the tech told us that in 6 weeks she will be able to tell us whether it will be a boy or girl. I will be excited with what ever we have, I just pray that our baby is strong and healthy. Nothing is impossible to God.

Texas Trip
Last weekend Neil and I flew to Texas. It was so great to get away from the snow and the cold. It was sunny and 60 degrees in Rockport........very nice!
It was also great to see my family, my grandmother is 88 years old and she is really strong and fiesty! She got tired of everyone talking to her and trying to hug her, it was kinda funny. I also got to see my good friens Kendra and her beautiful twins, Lily and Zoe. They are growing so fast. We had a great time in Texas, but it is also good to be back home.
We have a doctors apointment on the 16th of March and I can't wait because they say we get to hear the heartbeat and see the baby. I'm excited, and I can't wait to get started on the nursery. I thank God for blessing and trusting us with this amazing gift.

It is snowing again...ugh! We have had alot of snow in the past two days, I'm just tired of it already. Go away snow....Ha, if only it were that easy.
The pregnancy is coming along pretty good. We are so excited, our appointment is on March 16th, can't wait, we will get to hear the heartbeat. The last appointment I had we saw the "flutter" of the heart, so sweet. I am due September 29th, as of now. I guess it could change at some point. This will be the first grandchild on my side and the second for my husbands side, everyone is excited and awaiting this precious arrival. I just pray that our baby is strong and healthy.
Have a great rest of the week.

I am really excited and so is my husband. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I have been praying that everything is well with me and the baby.
So many things are going thru my mind like...I need to get our spare room ready for a nursery, should I paint it?, whatwill we have? Just so many things. I am not really thinking if I want a boy or girl, I just want our baby to be healthy! I just thank God for this amazing gift. God knows the desires of our hearts and his plan is perfect.

Snowy Day
It is freezing outside, we have a winter weather advisory until 6am. I think the snow is so beautiful as long as I don't have to drive in it. I was lucky, I did everything I needed to do before the snow started. I came home and let my boys out and they were so excited, they love the snow.
They were really excited when Neil got home because he went out and played with them.

Sammy didn't like the idea of jumping in the snow like Brutus.
They are such sweet dogs and we love them so much.
Tonight we are excited because we are going to be watching the National Championship game against Texas and Alabama. Of course we are rooting for.....TEXAS.WooHoo, GO Longhorns.

HOOK 'EM HORNS!!

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010.
Wow! 2009 came and went fast. It was a year of ups and downs, and it was a year of miracles as well. We started out 2009 with exciting news that there would be a new addition to the Johnston family. My SIL was 3 months pregnant...yay! In May we took a trip to Chicago to watch the USA vs. Honduras game, it was so much fun and my little brother and good friend Kristine came with us. We had a blast shopping down Mag Mile.
A few weeks after that I was admitted into the hospital with what we thought was minor appendicitis..turned out to be really serious, so serious that I spent the whole summer at Mount Carmel Hospital. I was in a medically induced coma and medically paralized. My family was here visiting at the time and so they ended up staying the whole summer. The Doctors had given my family terrible news, I was more then likely not going to make it. BUT, we serve a mighty God and NOTHING is impossible to him. I had major surgeries to my small intestine and in late July I woke up. I was not in pain and I just remember wanting to be around family...and let me tell you that medication I was on makes everything just a little crazy! Ha.
I was home August 14th. I had almost forgotten what my house looked like. Also a few weeks later our handsome little nephew, Asher was born.
Today I am grateul to be alive and well. So thankful that my family believes in God and knows that he has the last say in anything and everything. My husband, bless his heart, was there every time he could be and when I was awake I could see how worried he was and how tired he was. I thank God for giving him and the rest of my family strength. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband!!
