Megan

Megan was born October 7,2010. So she is 2 months old today. Wow, time flies. She is such a joy and she is already sleeping through the night. She is so alert and likes to look at everything. She also has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. We are truly blessed!! She weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 20in long. She was born with a head full of dark hair. Everytime a new nurse came in to the room the first thing they would say was "oh, my look at all that hair" lol. My husband was bald as a baby, and I had alot of hair. I was so scared the first night because I just wanted to do everything right. The nurses all told me that I could send her to the nursery, but I just couldnt, finally, I gave in but only for 2 hours. I just had to have her near me. She was born on a Thursday so we got to go home on Saturday, and it was a home game at Ohio State...she was born at The Ohio State hospital which is right by the stadium. But, we were able to get out quickly.

I thank God for a beautiful baby girl and a smooth pregnancy.

Heading to the hospital tonight!

Well, the time has arrived, Thank God. We will be heading to OSU Medical Center tonight so that I can be induced. Miss Megan is a week overdue. I just pray that everything goes well and that she is healthy! I am not real nervous right now but I'm sure that when we walk into that hospital, I will be.

The only thing is that my family is not here, I wish they could be but the important thing is that my mother is recovering and she is doing amazing! I thank God for all the amazing things he has done in my life to date. I also pray that he gives my dad and my brother strength as they are the ones helping her out and making sure she is doing great.

Ephesians 3:20 - God is ABLE to do ABUNDANTLY, EXCEEDINGLY more than ALL you can ASK or IMAGINE!!!! What an amazing scripture!

I have not posted pics in the last few posts but I plan to post alot after Megan is born. Also, no one really follows my posts, but thats ok because this is mainly to look back on and have memory of how things were. I would have loved to have posted everyday of my pregnancy butI was working and always tired. Hopefully I can be better at blogging in the future. Thank you Lord for your blessings!!

Still no baby.

Well Miss Megan still has not made an appearance. I am hoping she will be here this weekend. I have been feeling alot of pressure and some pain. But, not enough to get us to go to the hospital. I just can't wait to meet her.

I am planning to go to a movie tonight, maybe she will decide to come then, doesn't that always happen, once you have something planned something tends to happen. I wouldnt mind though.

In other news, my mother went to see her surgeon today and he said she is doing amazing!! Thank you Lord!!! Her heartbeat/rate is regular and she will not need a "shock". So, hopefully my family will be here for Christmas, it is a special Christmas as it will be Megans first, and she will also get to spend it with her cousin Asher. It will be his second Christmas. I just thank God for all his blessings and all that he is doing in our lives. I give him all the praise.

Due Date.

Well today is my due date and still no baby, but, the day is not over yet so who knows what can happen. I had an appointment yesterday and the doctor said she is not ready. I was sure they would send me to the hospital. Megan weighs 8lbs. 4oz. and her heartrate is at 158. If I don't have her by October 6th, I will be headed to the hospital that night to be induced. I'm praying that we meet her before then.

I have been having some pain, like cramps and tightening...since this is my first I really have NO IDEA what to look for or what to do. I mean if I feel something stronger than what I have been feeling obviously I will call the dr. Hmm, we'll see.

I just want to meet this sweet girl, I wonder what or who she will look like. I can't wait.

Monday, rainy Monday...

Today it is raining, and cold. Well, not real cold but much cooler than it has been. I love this time of year though, it's beautiful, and it's football season!

Our Buckeyes did great on Saturday, but this weekend they play Illionis, hopefully they can get a win. I think they can do it.

Tomorrow I will be 40 weeks pregnant, we have an appointment and hopefully I will be sent to the hospital to be induced, we will see. We are so excited to meet our baby girl, I have a feeling she will look like her daddy. The thing is that my family won't be here for the delivery, my mother had open heart surgery a few weeks ago and she is recovering, But I thank God that she is doing well. I would rather her get better and stronger anyway so that she can come and play with Megan.

I thank God for all he has done and is continuing to do in out lives, I know that he is with us.

Pregnancy...

Wow, I have not posted in a while!! I was hoping to blog throughout my pregnancy but I was always so busy working and trying to get stuff ready for the arrival of our baby girl. We have decided to name her Megan Elizabeth. Everything has gone great so far, I am 39 weeks and her "due date" is September 29th, my dr. wanted to induce early, but Miss Megan was just not ready....so...I have an appointment this coming Tuesday and hopefully..(fingers crossed) he will send me to the hospital. We are so excited to meet little Megan.

Her room is ready for her. Here are some pictures. Her dad did the paintings, I think he did a great job. I could not have done that.

In other news, the Buckeyes have been doing an amazing job! We love our Bucks, this weekend they play E. Michigan, so we are hoping for another win....GO BUCKEYES!!

Baby Johnston

Tuesday was a big day for our family! I am now 18 weeks pregnant, we had our ultrasound/sonogram. We saw the baby's spine and feet and arms. We also heard the strong heartbeat....music to our ears! We also founf out the gender of the baby.
This is the first grandchild on my side and the second on my husbands side. So the big question is: What are we having??

A GIRL !!!!!

As I sat there looking at this baby on the monitor I thought of everything I went through this past summer and thanked God so much for all he has done. I have always wanted to have a little girl and when I got really sick this past summer I thought that I would never be able to conceive. But God has different plans doesnt he? He truly gives us the desires of our heart. God knew mine and he has blessed me and my husband with a little girl, my prayer is that she is healthy, happy, and that the delivery goes smoothly.
