WOW!

Hello. it has ben a while but I am going to start blogging more. I know I have said it before but this time I mean it because I will want to document everything! On January 26th I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive...wowser!

I am really excited and so is my husband. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I have been praying that everything is well with me and the baby.

So many things are going thru my mind like...I need to get our spare room ready for a nursery, should I paint it?, whatwill we have? Just so many things. I am not really thinking if I want a boy or girl, I just want our baby to be healthy! I just thank God for this amazing gift. God knows the desires of our hearts and his plan is perfect.

Snowy Day

It is freezing outside, we have a winter weather advisory until 6am. I think the snow is so beautiful as long as I don't have to drive in it. I was lucky, I did everything I needed to do before the snow started. I came home and let my boys out and they were so excited, they love the snow.

They were really excited when Neil got home because he went out and played with them.

Sammy didn't like the idea of jumping in the snow like Brutus.
They are such sweet dogs and we love them so much.

Tonight we are excited because we are going to be watching the National Championship game against Texas and Alabama. Of course we are rooting for.....TEXAS.WooHoo, GO Longhorns.

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010.

Wow! 2009 came and went fast. It was a year of ups and downs, and it was a year of miracles as well. We started out 2009 with exciting news that there would be a new addition to the Johnston family. My SIL was 3 months pregnant...yay! In May we took a trip to Chicago to watch the USA vs. Honduras game, it was so much fun and my little brother and good friend Kristine came with us. We had a blast shopping down Mag Mile. A few weeks after that I was admitted into the hospital with what we thought was minor appendicitis..turned out to be really serious, so serious that I spent the whole summer at Mount Carmel Hospital. I was in a medically induced coma and medically paralized. My family was here visiting at the time and so they ended up staying the whole summer. The Doctors had given my family terrible news, I was more then likely not going to make it. BUT, we serve a mighty God and NOTHING is impossible to him. I had major surgeries to my small intestine and in late July I woke up. I was not in pain and I just remember wanting to be around family...and let me tell you that medication I was on makes everything just a little crazy! Ha.

I was home August 14th. I had almost forgotten what my house looked like. Also a few weeks later our handsome little nephew, Asher was born. Today I am grateul to be alive and well. So thankful that my family believes in God and knows that he has the last say in anything and everything. My husband, bless his heart, was there every time he could be and when I was awake I could see how worried he was and how tired he was. I thank God for giving him and the rest of my family strength. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband!!
