On June 14th I went to the hospital because I was having sharp pain in my stomach. It ended up being my appendix and they had to remove it while doing that the surgeons found that most of my small intestine was dead. They removed over 80% of it, it was pretty scary for my family and my husband because the doctors said this surgery could go either way. My family got word out to the rest of the family and friends and thay all began to pray. I was put into a medically induced coma and was out the whole month of July. I stayed in the SICU and when I did wake I would see things and people that were not there...it was alittle scary!
Today I went to Cleveland Clinic for a check up and to meet with intestine specialists. The doctor said everything was great and that I would live a normal healthy life..Thank you Jesus! I know that God was with me throughout this ordeal and I know he is still with me. The doctors here are amazed that I have done so well, just three months ago I could not walk or talk and I could not do anything for myself. I have realized not to take anything for granted, even something simple like taking off and putting on my socks. While I was in the hospital my little brother (he's 24) would read Psalm 91 to me everyday. It's an amazing scripture. My favorite scripture is Psalm 121. God is soo good!
